Name an experience you've wished you have had.
I'd say publishing my first novel...

Anyone else?

12. My sister is going through the same thing....
She and her husband have been trying for children for about seven years now...

They have since decided to adopt tho...:)

Me, myself would love to become a father--someday...but no such luck for me.

5. Put "getting published" up there for me too.
Also, I sometimes wish I'd gone the big wedding/traditional gown option when we got married.

8. True weightlessness....
... being in 'outer space'. I'd probably puke, but to exceed one of our species' "natural boundaries", I think would be a novel experience.

Life after death - of course, how could i tell you about it? The lowercase i is intentional, as I expect that after death we may become "lower case i's".

Giving away my daughters at their weddings - hasn't happened yet, but I'm looking forward to it - if I can accept their future husbands.

We'll see what happens.

Hope this is a good start.

There were several times I should have just stopped thinking and started doing...

Looking back, I was an idiot.

11. I was going to say something similar.
Like a long-term relationship that works.

I've never been in one longer than 2 months, and that was half a lifetime ago.

To actually be with a man who understands and complements the many facets of myself- physical, emotional, etc., etc., etc.- simply safety in that lack of pretense. I don't know when or if something like that will ever be a part of my life because I just get these fleeting glimpses. It would be nice. Hope springs eternal I guess. :)

Someday, I'd like to travel the world. That I feel more sure of that as something I'll do since the ability to do something like that rests in my hands alone.

edit: I noticed some lousy grammar.

The last woman I was with...wasn't really interested in starting a long term relationship...

Funny because we had sooo much in common, and I really wanted a relationship with her...

Oh well...

29. The wisest teacher I ever had told a story about his father's death
Standing in the hallway at the hospital, his brother told him that he was going to tell their dad that he loved him, no matter what it took. Mr. B told his brother that he wasn't even going to try.

I don't know why, but for some reason that story has stuck with me. I'm not sure why some people place such value on mere words. How could saying three little words outweigh a lifetime of deeds? Either it's obvious or it's not true. Three words can't change one into the other.
