question about online solitaire gaming |
|
I have a relative whose SO is spending a lot of time playing solitaire with other people on the Internet. Someone told me that he's probably gambling. Is most online gaming for $$? If you know anything about it, please comment. He had a gambling problem previously, in real life.

2. There are free sites and for-money sites |
|
but I don't play Solitaire... Not sure how you gamble on that, but I suppose you can gamble on anything.
It's a bit difficult to transfer money to offshore gaming internet sites but it can be done, look for transfers from credit cards to internet banking facilities like "Net-teller" "IGM-pay" "FPS epassport" etc. Also, cash transfers to people offshore using Western Union is a dead giveaway. Most bank cards will not allow the card holder to transfer money directly to known gambling sites as wagering online is technically illegal.
I play poker online occasionally (though I mostly stopped because of suspicion of collusion among opponents). While I was doing it, I made money (but not a lot).
I hope things turn out OK for your relative... gambling addiction is a really bad thing and I've seen it destroy lives.
