Mr. O'Reilly, I just heard a clip from your show on the web. A caller asked you about your statement that you had been in combat and you cut him off because he suggested that you implied that you had been in the military. He stated that you should clarify that you were not in the military, and then said something about being "fair and balanced". At that point you cut the call off and referred to his comment as "snippy". This bothered me, because underlying the dramatics, it seemed that you were unwilling to have that discussion with the caller. Why not? I am sure that you are not so sensitive that his comment that you should be "fair and balanced" bothered you at all. If you had had the discussion, do you not think you could have successfully defended your position, which was that as a journalist you had been in firefights and, in fact, been shot at? Doing what you did furthers the widespread impression that you (and Fox News generally) are NOT, in fact, "fair and balanced". The refusal to have a conversation with that caller because he caught you off guard and had a bone to pick with you was, pardon the pun, very bush league. It was not true to your persona. It was Limbaugh-like in every way. What say you? Sincerely,
