I thought I checked in to DU shortly after the SCOTUS annointed King George,which would have been around December 20th,2000. Even then I thought DU had been around a year or so before I joined up.

I might be a day early, but I'm 99% sure it was either day. I believe it was Skinner and EarlG who unfurled a banner on the Today Show with the web address written on it - they were outside the ground floor studio.
