Seriously, what is there to like about cottage cheese?
For me, it's only saving grace is that it tastes better than protein drinks and protein bars, but you know.... that really isn't saying much.

3. Add oats, onion soup mix and egg white,
and you have a great meatless "cheeseburger." Seriously, it sounds gross, but it's delicious.

5. The crap at the grocery store? Nothing.
If you can find a cheese vendor at a farmer's market who makes cottage cheese, you'll find plenty to like.

6. Depends on the brand.
I would eat it, but didn't particularly care for it, until we found a particular brand at Whole Foods. I really didn't think that cottage cheese could taste GOOD, but this stuff does. I will check the brand name if you are interested.

7. I actually like cottage cheese...
...so I'd probably really like this cottage cheese you speak of. Do tell, if you please.

I guess I don't eat it plain very often, but throw some pineapple chunks on there - mmm, mmm, good.

10. The brand is Nancy's Organic
http://www.nancysyogurt.com/nancys_products/cottage_cheese.php

Haven't tried their other products yet, but if the cottage cheese is any indicator, I'm sure they are all excellent.

9. Sprinkle a little Lawry's salt on top
and yum it's good. I don't care for the large curd, small curd is what we use.

it is divine. You put the butter on the toast, then pile on cottage cheese, then pepper. One of my FAVORITE lunches. Try it, it's yummy.

25. It makes a good fast breakfast
Some people mentioned mixing pineapple in it. Almost any kind of fruit in it is good - strawberries, bananas, tangerines.

It has more protein than yogurt and is more filling too.

26. Good, homemade cottage cheese is pretty amazing
I speak as someone who really doesn't like it much, but a former girlfriend used to look forward to a restaurant we went to a lot in NH JUST for their cottage cheese. So I finally broke down and tried it and she was right...made well, it is delicious.

Since I have kidney stone problems, I avoid dairy, but every now and then a scoop of GOOD cottage cheese is a treat. The processed stuff in the supermarket is a pale imitation.
