Actually, they don't look like quite the same pair. I read on the NY Times site that he's had 56 pairs made by the unofficial presidential bootmaker anyway. (This guy's done boots for the last 8 or so presidents. Clinton had 13 pairs made in his 8 years.

Sorry, but cowboy boots with a suit = a crime against good taste. Cowboy boots with black tie = the sartorial equivalent of boiling an infant alive. And if I were ever to become President, I wouldn't care if there were an "official Presidential bootmaker", I wouldn't wear the damned things...custom SHOES, fine. But I'd go to Lobb for them. (Or, I guess, have someone from Lobb come to me...)
