1. I refuse to answer this poll on the grounds that I might get stomped.

7. My favorite color is.....
....red. Don't tell anybody.

I HATE that it is the "Republican" color. Why couldn't they have something ugly, like chartreuse?

13. OK, for some reason, you've all got the red/blue thing bass-ackwards...
For as long as I can remember, RED has been associated with revolution, communism, radicalism, etc, while BLUE is the colour of privileged blood.

Here in Canada and, from what I can see, everywhere else in the world except the US, a red ribbon is a higher distinction than a blue ribbon. We hear about "blue ribbon" commissions and think, "What's so special about that? It means second-rate."

So WTF happened with that, anyway? Whom shall we throttle?

18. Yes, that's correct. I remember the 1984 election map was a sea of blue.
The only red spots were Minnesota and Washington, DC.

21. I don't know. I didn't do it, I promise!
BTW, I was really only joking about being afraid of getting stomped.

I'm sitting in my office, which has red painted walls (a darkish claret red) and red-and-tan curtains.

15. Great Poll
Edited on Thu Jan-20-05 02:17 PM by Liberalynn
Something really weird is that when I was a kid, my favorite color used to be red. Then as I got older I started to love blue, especially the deeper blues like royal and midnight.

Never thought about the political tie-in until this year. LOL.

17. purple!
Question: why is it when I vote for my color it says purple, but shows turquoise? I am in a very sick state about purple. Everything must be purple or lavender! I AM getting better, but if there's a choice and purple is available, I will invariably gravitate to purple. I know, I know: many issues...

31. I voted other. I do not have favorite colors, but different hues
within colors.

I can't say that I like blue, when there are hues of blue that turn my stomach, and yet there are others that I love. The same with red, green and yellow.

Now if I were to select which hue is my favorite, I would say seafoam green. :)
