Things that made me happy today |
|
It should be a dark and depressing day. But - maybe it's too much caffeine and sugar - I'm in almost a "last party before the execution" mode at the moment, thanks to some gems I found on DU. Gods only forbid this place should ever go down.
Stuff that made me happy:
The "Pickles is wearing the drapes again" thread...
And, from WillPitt's blog at truthout.org:
"George just went by in some giant rolling cannonball, and the large crowd here turned its back en masse."
Gotta love it! At this point, we have to take our small pleasures where we find them....

1. I am heartened by the protesters who took the time and money |
|
to go make our voices heard. They are wonderful and it is impressive when there are more protesters than supporters. Sad, but impressive.
And I am happy it is snowing again.
And I am happy that there is a bus that goes directly to my protest area tonight so I don't have to drive and park during rush hour.
And I am happy that I just got a job!

2. All the huge Impeach Bush.org yellow & black banners! |
|
What a sight for sore eyes along that awful, dreariness-in-slow-motion procession.
All the WORST PRESIDENT EVER! signs.
All the glorious protestors!

4. yes, my plans were cancelled today and i ended up watching but |
|
had a lot more fun than I expected. First we got to make major fun of the crowd during the speech. THey looked so grumpy. They were hillarious. Then the last part of his speech was disrupted by the "dissidents" I think that really pissed him off. Then during the parade, he could not get out and walk until the very end in the paid for seats. The news could not cover it without covering us. They booed him at this site, and they sped up and had to run. Then they thought they were in clear territory, but the boos ended up in all the areas. People turned their backs. Signs everywhere, THe f*** bush cnn tape, the crowds broke through the fence. So many many things that were great. Hope all are ok after the pepper spraying at the fence incident. All in all, it was great and showed that we are stronger than last time. We are growing and he can run but he can't hide. I think the media is going starting to open up on his ass soon too. I think we are rolling.
Thanks to all who attended demonstrations today. YOU ROCK!!!

5. Yeah, today was a pretty good day. |
|
It was great watching the protestors, hearing all the boos, seeing all the signs, following WillPitt's great blog and reading the absolutely hilarious threads on DU. I also made it out of the 700 Club!!! Yay for me..
