post your favorite dipping oil recipes
Olive oil is such a perfect complement to bread, and over the years, I came up with the perfect dipping sauce. Here it is:

4 cloves chopped garlic
two small pinches of red pepper flakes
two pinches of oregano or dried basil
four tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

Put a small saucepan on medium heat on the stove. Add four tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil. Add the red pepper flakes, and the dried oregano or basil. Add the chopped garlic. Let the garlic turn a golden brown color. Pour everything out from the saucepan into a dipping bowl. Serve with piping hot french bread.

I've had to make two batches of this because the olive oil's such a hit with the crowd, so it might be helpful to have an extra bowl of olive oil on hand.
