Moderators, please correct me if I am wrong, and delete if necessary, if this post violates DU rules or DU ethics. But I don't think it does. Anyone remember him? I grew up with him in FLA and he was a piece of work let me tell you. On our 25th HS reunion cruise, he tried to pick up my daughter and bragged about smuggling drugs into the country. Was high on ecstasy the whole time - and brought a teenage girl with him on the cruise whom he'd just met but paid so he wouldn't be alone. He had a website that extolled the virtures of Republicanism and George Bush but was filled with pictures of breast-enhanced women who would probably never give him the time of day!

Anyway the sad part is that after Marty was arrested and charged with his crimes, he committed suicide. Actually, what I heard from good sources was that he ATTEMPTED suicide (walked to the ambulance but I can't remember what method(s) he used) and was expected to live but something went terribly wrong and he died.

Poor Marty - I felt badly for a long time becuase I gave him hell about my daughter and his lack of values. When he was arrested I blasted him. Next thing I know he's dead. In retrospect, I have no bad feelings. He was a despicable person who felt he was above the law and everyone else.
