Not taking into account old cheezy B movies like Attack of the Killer Shrews (although that actually wasn't that bad), I'd have to say that "Severed" was bad but "House of the Dead" was much worse.

4. People seem to feel strongly one way or another ... |

I actually thought it was pretty damn scary, but then again I prefer the kind of horror that gets into your head. I also spent a lot of time on their website, which had a lot of content like you would find on a DVD today. It really heightened the experience, IMHO.

2. The Friday the Thirteenth movie that was in space ... |
|
Sorry, but it is so damn bad I won't even look on IMDB to see which was it was. I caught it on cable one night and was too lazy to change the channel. It was so bad I thought I was watching MST3K.

How many bad guys have they sent to space now? Space reeks of desperation.

It was supposed to be "the scariest movie of the year", but I was ready to leave an hour into it.

5. they really did a number on the remake of THE HAUNTING |
|
I mean, it truly sucked. I think the orginal THE HAUNTING (1963) is one of the best horror films of all time - black and white, no blood or gore, no special effects yet it is still CREEPY.

7. I like terror of the mind much more than a freaking gore fest |
|
there is no amount of gore that can equal the terror one can make in their own mind

8. I completely agree! Leaving something to the imagination is much scarier. |
