Who here hates Elmo

OK, when I went to bed last night, PBS was on. When I woke up, I discovered that Sesame Street was on. I was reminded of why I hate Elmo.

I would never let my children watch the Elmo Show, because that is what Sesame Street has become.

At only 5 years old, I could detect the change when Henson died. Sesame Street used to talk up to children, now its nothing more than Elmo's toddler ear candy.

I'd love to see an episode where Elmo is killed, and Mr. Hooper makes sure God sends him to the firey pits of hell.

Edit to add: My younger children were not Sesame Street watchers either. The show did change.

5. It's kind of hard to hate a foam rubber and faux fur puppet

with a human hand up it's butt.

I know what you're saying about Sesame Street, but then again I'm not a kid any more, maybe my perceptions have changed a bit. It's still probably the best thing on TV for kids.
