But as I'm Frankfurt born I can (and have to) say that all those cities do not even come close to Berlin. They all have their pros (weather), but as European cities go Berlin is the only city in Germany worth mentioning, maybe Hamburg (one might make a case for Munich as well, but I've been there for some time and hated every minute; I dread the possibility of having to take a job there - I think I'd rather emigrate).
And they all (meaning their inhabitants) have a bad case of Selbstüberschätzung (can't think of an English phrase for that word; meaning is somewhat like: overestimating your own capabilities)

39. Woo-Hoo! Party is tomorrow! |
|
I ordered a cane and I hope it comes in the morning. I don't want to have to bring a crutch to the party, and I'm not quite ready to go out without any extra support, tho I walk around my apartment all day without my crutch.
My PT is painful, but I am getting better. I still have a limp, and I can only be on my feet for about 20 minutes before I have to rest. But I can see how it's all gonna come back.
No more x-rays. No more pain pills. So we're trying again. But if it happens, I probably won't tell anyone til after 10 weeks at least. When I got pregnant before, we announced right away, we were so excited. I still have people come up to me and ask about the baby, or say, gee you're not even showing, or hardly showing. Then I have to tell them that I lost the baby after the accident, which I think is harder for the person who asked about the baby than it is for me, actually. But not fun.
Thanks so much for asking.
