Dennis Hopper on Bush
Money Quote:
Republican donor and veteran actor Dennis Hopper on his last-minute blackballing from the inaugural festivities today: "We were dismayed this week when my invitation to participate in the 'Celebration of Freedom' event . . . was withdrawn by the Presidential Inaugural Committee ... However, I would still like to express my support for President George Bush and our next four years." (Reliable Source)

15. Second that.
Hopper has blown his brain. I don't think he was acting in "Acpoclypse Now" - just being himself

7. He is a loose cannon. Does anyone remember . . .
. . . that either Fonda or Nicholson had to have a bodyguard during the shooting of Easy Rider, because Hopper would twist off and get physically violent during the shooting? I remember that story from way back.

11. I seem to remember in Peter Biskind's "Easy Riders, Raging Bulls"
...Hopper was living with John Wayne's daughter during the filming of "Easy Rider", all the while gobbling down copious amounts of acid, lysergically and physically abusing her, etc. Daddy was going to kill him...

I guess these days, the Duke returns to haunt him via acid flashbacks...enough to turn anyone paranoid repug. Either that, or he's the fucking sell-out someone mentioned...
