Downtown Dallas was like the depths of Mordor today. |
|
I don't think I've ever seen it quite so bad- driving into it from the south, all of downtown was nothing more than a hazy, blurry, smelly blob. It got into my lungs long before I was even there, and I've been coughing up chunks of my lungs ever since- I had to drive through it a second time a while ago, and it just made it worse.
I'll be choking and sneezing for a week. I'm SO glad I reside on the outer rim of the county. How can all those poor downtown dwellers survive that noxious poison day after day?

Just imagine it in July, when ozone days are kicking in...it's pretty awful.

walking around in a watercolor painting(but not so pretty). All the edges are kind of blurred and everything is fuzzy.
There was one day not too long ago I was crossing Central Exwy at City Place and had to do a double-take because I could not see downtown through the haze.... really horrible. It was like the entire skyline had been erased.

That's one of the joys of going to the VA hospital- all those beautiful young lady doctors. Today it was a redhead. I fell in love- she said I had a textbook knee (she was evaluating my MRI).

... not far from downtown. Sometimes there is this nasty smell in the air - like burning metal, I think it comes from a plant south of me that belches out noxious and equally odiferous poison all day long.
Yes, it sucketh verily.

7. What are the boundaries of "downtown"? |
|
Is Southwestern Medical Center close? I'm still learning the layout from afar.

... technically downtown, but it isn't far from it. I work about 5 miles farther out from downtown.
That is about 3 miles from downtown Dallas, by my guess.

12. I'd put the boundaries at I-35 to the west, Central to the east, |
|
Woodall-Rodgers to the north and I-30 to the south.
Southwestern Med is just to the northwest of downtown... an exit or two north off I35
