1. I'm assuming that your neuro |
|
has ruled out MS?
Have they done a brain MRI? Chances are you DON'T have it, but I'm wondering if your neuro has ruled it out altogether?

:-(
Wouldn't mind MS at this point.
from the neck mri; pinched neck disc explains a lot, but not necessarily this - he thought. ANd I'm likely to believe him.

3. Okay, that's good that he knocked that |
|
possibility out with the brain MRI. Usually there is a lesion there if MS is involved.
I was worried because of your age, the pins and needles, and now the weakening.
Maybe it'll ALL clear up once you have that disc surgery! Perhaps the weakening is involved in some weird, not so commonly seen, way with the pinched neck disc.
Good luck to you!

4. he said benign cyst in brain but was deemed harmless |
|
Thanks for the good luck. I am betting/hoping it is the pinched nerves.

5. Talk to someone in orthopedics, |
|
very old fashioned remedy, over the door traction set to strech your neck. If you work on a computer a great deal set your monitor up to eye level. This will help reduce the pressure.

but if you have pinched nerves, I would think the nerves are contributing to the weakness in your arm.
I have been watching my mom's progress in recovering from a rotator cuff injury and nerves do have a lot to do with muscle strength.

... there is a lot of funny stuff going on with nerves. I once had an impingement injury in my shoulder that manifested itself with pain at the base (elbow end) of my bicep ! My general physician was prescribing all this tendonitis treatment when the problem was way elsewhere :)

7. Hypno, It almost sounds like you have a pinched nerve |
|
in your arm. I had to have two surgeries on my Ulnar nerve and before them, I experienced terrific pain, and pins/needles along with weakening. Mine they say was caused by repetitive motion. I get tendonitis really easily, so I am probably the worst person to ask. Just trying to give you a suggestion. BTW the distribution in my right arm for the pain and pins/needles and weakness was my ring finger and pinky were on fire with pins/needles, and the half of my middle finger that is closest to the ring finger was also Numb. Like I said, not that I know... Just throwing a suggestion out.
