3. White Album - even with the filler
Back in the USSR, While My Guitar Gently Weeps, Blackbird, Piggies, I Will, Julia, Helter Skelter, Revolution (1), and Savoy Truffle are such good songs it's hard to pass them.

7. You are wrong!
In fact, WMGGW makes the White Album better all by itself.

I love Jimi, but that song is fucking fantastic

4. Although I like Hendrix's cover of "All Along the Watchtower"
more than perhaps any single song on the White Album, I like the White Album in its entirety significantly more than Electric Ladyland.

9. The White Album
Even with the filler, it's still a great album.

10. Got to go with the White Album...
yes, it has its weak points, but...come on. "Helter Skelter"? Heavy metal before anyone except William S Burroughs was using the term. "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" is one of Harrison's best songs, and it features some of the best guitar work of Eric Clapton's anticlimactic career. Even with the tracks I know I'm going to skip, it's still better (not quite "Revolver" or "Sgt Pepper", but...what is?).

11. Only one of these albums has "Rocky Raccoon" on it
Summer in the black mines of Hilldrive Dakota there lived a young boy called Rocky Raccoon
One day his woman ran off with another guy, hit young Rocky in the eye, Rocky didn't like that. He said I'm a gonna get that boy.

So one day he booked himself into a room at a local saloon.
Rocky Raccoon, checked into his room, only to find Gideons Bible.
Rocky had come equipped with a gun to shoot out the man of his rival.
His rival it seems, had broken his dreams by stealing the girl of his fancy.
Her name was McGill, and she called herself Lill, but everyone knew her as Nancy.
And she and her man, who called himself Dan, were in the next room at the Hoedown.
Rocky burst in, and grinning a grin, said Danny boy, this here's a showdown.
But Daniel was hot, and he drew first and shot, and Rocky collapsed in the corner.
The doctor came in, stinking of gin, and proceeded to lie on the table.
He said Rock you met your match, Rocky said Doc it's only a scratch, and I'll be better, I'll be better Doc as soon as I am able.

Rocky Raccoon, fell back in his room, only to find Gideons Bible.
Gideon checked out, and he left it no doubt, to help with good Rocky's revival.....

14. The Anthology version of Rocky Raccoon is better
Where Paul seems to be "stinking of gin" (or was it "sminking"?) himself and messes up the song pretty bad, but it works anyway.

And as for the best album of 1968. the choice is clearly obvious....

"Moon, turn the tides gently, gently away"....

I think it was on side three.

18. I Think Electric Ladyland is More Uneven Than the White Album
Although I would have voted for The Cry of Love, which has in my mind not a single weak song.

19. I'm saying "White Album" because the used copy I bought in highschool
had a big lump of hash pressed between the covers!

It was like a cereal prize!
