2. I agree....
Many innocent men have had their reputations ruined by false allegations. I say he is innocent until proven guilty.......

4. Don't shoot the messenger..lol
Personally I think Bill Cosby is a pig. He is a bit too racist for my liking and I never really thought he was funny.
As for this thread, I was just posting the story.

5. Just curious, not flaming - what did you find so racist about him?
I definitely agree with the meat of what he said (I would have expanded it to all people, not just young blacks), although he could have been a little more tactful.

6. This goes back to some films I saw in high school
This was back in the early 80s, but they were made in the 70s. I can't remember the names of them, but it was some of the things he was saying back then that I base my opinion on now.
I didn't pay attention to the more recent comments he made, so I don't know what he said.

7. Oh ok, I didn't know that part
I had always thought of him as a very positive role model for all, not just black people. His recent comments were something to the effect of young blacks (this is where I somewhat disagree, as I wish he had applied it to everyone, which is why some people also thought he was racist) need to get their priorities right. He was upset at how they buy $200 shoes but don't study, have kids out of wedlock, don't speak proper English, etc. He had a valid point, but was very blunt about it.

8. I take it with a grain of salt
Any time the allegations are against someone with a lot of money and no KNOWN history of similar activities, I tend to reserve judgement.

11. Well, I will say
The film I remember was made in the 70s and it was surprising to see Cosby with an almost Black Panther type mentality.
Maybe he has changed, or mellowed a bit. The film left an impression in my mind and I really never paid him much mind.
I did like the Chicken Heart bit he did and a few other things seemed funny when I was about 10, but I never really thought of him as a funny man.

13. That's how I took his recent comments, he definitely meant well even if it
sounded a little harsh.

12. I give Bill the benefit of the doubt
he has no history of this and the allegation itself is fishy
