Getting ready to go to a Pampered Chef party
so anyone use this stuff. I bought some items a few years ago and I thought they were rather flimsy and cheap...but expensive to purchase.

at least there will be food.

3. The salad dressing measuring device was good
That was the one thing I bought that I was pleased with. It's clear and has the measurements for various dressings on the side. Other than that, yeah, it's flimsy and cheap, but at least when I went, the proceeds went to charity, so I didn't feel too mad.

Enjoy the food! :hi:

4. Go for the food...
Edited on Fri Jan-21-05 05:29 PM by AngryOldDem
I admit, though, that I do have some of their stuff. The utensils I use most regularly are one-piece teaspoon and tablespoon measurers and a large cutting board. I like them a lot.

I have a baking wheel (clay-colored, made out of stuff that feels like dried clay), and a gadget to hold tomatoes and other veggies steady as I slice, but I have not used those. I also have a sharp paring knife that has come in handy.

Right now with my finances Pampered Chef is just a wee bit pricey for me, and I bought most of this stuff as favors to the friends and relatives who were selling -- didn't really need any of it except for the measurers. But the food at the parties is great.

ON EDIT: The post above shows what I have...the pizza stone! I KNEW it had a name!! (You can tell I use it a lot, can't you?)

6. I'm glad that you reminded me.
I need to replace the large mixing bowl that my son broke. I really like those bowls, small and large, with the measurements on the side, the handle and handy-dandy lid to cover the bowl with.

Hope that you have a good time.

8. I bought a nice pie dish for my mother
I mean, I really didn't want to go to it but the person was the nicest co-worker imaginable. It was right before xmas and they had a really pretty pie plate that came with a cast-iron frame that you use to display the pie.

My mother did really like the pie plate and it held up quite nicely. But it's not really something I'd buy for myself.

9. Ice cream scoop rocks!
:headbang:

Something in the handle warms the scoop - mine is 7 years old and still works like a charm! (and only like $12.00)

Bought the pizza stone, but it broke..bummer

13. I have one and it has never worked like it was supposed to.
I've heard other raves about it, but mine seems to be pretty worthless.

15. Did you run the handle under hot water?
Sometimes you need to 'jump-start' the products.

You're not supposed to put the scoop in the dishwasher, but my husband never was a conformist...didn't seem to bother it a bit.

10. I like their little spatulas - they're just the right size for serving
brownies or bars.

Other than that, I have no use for Pampered Chef. If I want expensive gadgetry, I go to Williams-Sonoma, where I know I'll get good quality items that I will actually use.
