18. Should I send my Sony DSC-V1 in for warranty work?

Sony's flat labor charge is 139 USD. Parts are still under warranty until March 2005.

It has two dead (appearing as bright white dots) pixels. One can be seen starting at 25% and the other starts at 50%. Using PS to wipe out the dots on all the pics all the time will be very time consuming.

I read that companies will either replace the sensor or map the dead pixels out.

It doesn't show up on long shutter shots and is even visible in day shots.
