Gonna try a website... Kind of a fight club for politicos...
leftandrightfights.com

Just got the name, gonna admit to being a diehard leftist and let the fun begin. (And I feel Dems can win most of the argunments anyway). I hope to have it up and running in a couple of weeks.

Got the name and the space, bought a years worth to try it out.

Shit. Did I make a mistake?

Good idea? Bad Idea? Suggestions?

1. A very difficult one to get right
I've seen a few places (cyber and real) which try to bring the two sides together to provide serious discussion of issues. Most just descend to mindless slanging matches, with neither side contributing; others produce wonderful results as both sides learn from each other, but getting the mix right is very difficult.

3. You have that right....
If it gets any traffic at all, it will probably end up being a constant shit storm. I want heated debate but not "yo mamma wears army boots" conversations.

4. My suggestion
Find a couple of conservatives and another liberal to form the admin staff. FORCIBLY enact rules of engagement and civility. That might work. But you have to have a balanced admin, or its dead before it starts. Unless you want to hear about "bias" all the time and face rebellion.

5. Suh-weet.... I do know a computer literate dittohead with an MBA...
It would lend credence and she'd jump at the chance.

It would be difficult, but possible....
