The Quiet Earth - anyone remember this movie?
Some weird experiment goes apeshit, only three people survive (because they were dying at the exact moment it happnes), Bad Things (tm) happen, he blows something up, and we come to the end of the movie.

It's been a while, yeah, but I still remember the final scene, where they show the sky...and it's Saturn there. Anyone care to try to explain this to me?

1. One of my favorite movies!
At the end, when he sacrifices himself to stabilize the earth (to stop it from phasing in and out like it has been), instead of dying, he finds himself transported to another place, obviously not the earth. It's a side-effect of what he did to stop the equipment, an unexpected side-effect.
