Blondeatlast out of health jail and still on this mortal plane...
We need every vote we can get in '06!

I had tightness in my chest yesterday, went to the ER and sure enough had a 90% blocked artery. Stented up and happily home.

No heart attack, but it would have happened eventually. Today I'm home feeling brand new. In fact, it's about 69 degrees here in Phoenix and I want to go out and play, but I'm just going to sit on the porch and read.

I think I'll stay out of GDP today, though, I've had enough excitement for a while (watch me carefully, please, and don't let me go there yet!).

2. Yikes, glad you're okay!
How scary for you. Good for you for going right away to the ER.

Take care of yourself, and yes, I think sitting on the porch and reading sounds very relaxing!!!

Was tightness in the chest the only warning?

11. Also short of breath.I've had the symptoms before with much more severity.

This is my third stent, unfortunately.

It's been three years since my last one though.

Long-term insulin-dependent diabetes is the major culprit.

10. Careful, Blondie! My husband had a stent put in and came home the
next day feeling terrific. But two days later, he was feeling really badly.

Your body releases loads of cortizone into your system after a procedure like that and you get a huge lift from it. However, the cortizone effect will wear off in a day or so and you will definitely know that you are still post op. That too will pass and you will find that you feel really good again in a week or two.

Don't over do it in the meantime. Take it easy and enjoy the recovery period.
