16. I love CA.. was stationed out there off and on while in the navy
I was in San Diego, Long Beach and San Francisco (twice). Too many distractions out there for somebody with little self discipline (at that time especially)Plus being gay, living in California is like being a kid in a candy store. :P

8. 12 inches of snow in Chicago is really slowing down the traffic.
Edited on Sat Jan-22-05 05:01 PM by XNASA
But it's still moving faster than it does in California.

And we have the option of using public transportation, if need be.

:-)

21. You could probably do it up in the mountains,
But it doens't really count unless the temps are well below zero!

As for what kind of sick shit, it's kinda hard to say; I'll admit there's probably some machismo element in it though ;) My camping buddies and I used to talk like winter camping was the nuttiest thing ever, but the better we got and handling the challenges of regular camping the more we knew we'd eventually have to take it to the next level.

In all honesty I havem't gone in the last three years--but the last time I went it was -45 F!

I still like winter, however. All the seasons really. :hi:

23. The CA weather forcast is a recording...AM in the low 70's with fog
burning off in the late morning. The afternoon temps to be about 80 with clear skies and sunshine. That is 9 months of the year. Then they replace the recording in about January with rain, rain and more rain till about late February...stay tuned...we will have an update in early March! I lived there for a year...it was a JOKE...on the East Coast...they predict sunshine...we get rain/snow...on the West Coast it does not require a meterologists...just a recording! GET OVER IT!
