We live right by the Toll Road, in fact, it's pretty much parallel to our home, but a good half a mile away from it...but I still don't see the reason to circle around our home and the "valley" that separates us from the Toll Road hundreds of times...it's really load and I'd say they're twenty five to a hundred feet in the air when they swoop down toward us...and it is not the first time it's happened...

1. Get a pair of binoculars and the tail number
...and report their ass to the FAA.

Seriously.

10. As annoying as it is...
It is probably perfectly legal. I'm not sure if it is a training area for helicopters or what, but I know from my piloting experience that we use roads and intersections as points to practice maneuvers with. I know nothing about helicopters, but as long as they stay at a safe altitude, there's probably nothing you can do other than calling the local airport and inquiring about it.

I know we're a pest to some people around Purdue... it's not uncommon to find bullet holes in the fuselage. No joke... people try to shoot us down.
