Alright already - enough of this snow bashing!!!
I'm moving back to New Hampshire because in the winter it's supposed to snow!

Wood stoves, hot apple cider, the incredible serenity that comes with fresh fallen snow, deer tracks, cross country skiing, the smell of wood smoke, living in the country, going out to the store for a neighbor, actually using 4WD, and, of course, songs like "White Christmas."

Not "Earthquake Christmas", or "Palm Tree Christmas", or " Crummy Windy Christmas" (for Ohio), or anything else.

So there!!

1. Give a holler when you arrive!
We will watch the falling snow and eat bread and drink milk. Or something like that.

3. Will do!

ETA is between March and May of this year - sooner if the house here in VA sells quick.

2. Here, here!
I also moved back to a wintery wonderland from a place where mosquitos bite 12 months a year and paint peels off of car hoods and batteries explode because it's so freakin' hot all the time.

I love Winter. I'm gonna put on my boots, make an Irish coffee and go for a walk in a little while.

Anyone comin' with?

6. Here's something I found in the newspaper a while back
Sums it up quite nicely:

He came back north. And when the snows come, he straps on snowshoes and trudges into the sheer darkness of the north woods. Then he closes his eyes and listens to the wind and feels the flakes tickling his skin.

"This land is not for the faint-hearted", he says. "But it is one of the last great places where you can just get into the woods and melt away. Get lost. Disappear."

"We know the value of that."

8. No

but I am a woodworker by profession.

Am I supposed to? :) :)

Actually, I will have to re-learn how to downhill ski - it has been far too long between adventures.

5. In Cleveland they get lake effect snowstorms all the time
But in southern Ohio the snow is inconsistant.
