My son and his friends have been sledding down my driveway and coming in every 20 minutes for hot chocolate. They're having fun! We're supposed to get nearly 2 feet. It's gonna be fun shoveling tomorrow!

storm advisory extended to 4 AM Sunday (was previously 6 PM Saturday)

That would be in Plymouth - about halfway between Detroit & Ann Arbor

**edited to add location - thought that might help!**

18. Less than forecasted, 4" instead of 10" in Maryland
We were out walking in blizzard conditions, came in the house, and it suddenly stopped! We have about four inches, and judging by the doppler the system has blown through. Maybe another burst later in the evening.

4:52 CST and it's still blizzard-like conditions at the lakefront. I'm at LSD and Irving Park Rd. At least a foot and a half so far and it's coming down HARD. This is the biggest storm we've had since 2000.

30. Same here in Manhattan - I feel cheated!
I want a REAL blizzard like the ones I grew up with. Snow up to your waist (of course I was shorter then) but still, I would like to see enough snow to shut down traffic in the city for once.

But so far we've just got a dusting. Just enough to lightly cover the streets. I can't say I'm disappointed that's for sure. I can handle the cold, but I hate snow.
