Poll question: The soul patch - yes or no?
That little bit of hair some guys have right below their bottom lip.

Attractive or not?

1. It looks cute on some types...
typically young, skinny rocker/skater types.

14. I believe because it was popular with jazz musicians.
Dizzy Gillespie was one of the first dudes to sport the soul patch. Hell, he might have even named it.

3. Michael Chiarello looked cute with one, but he looks better with it off.
He has a couple of programs on the Food Channel. Yum...

4. It looks like they missed a spot shaving
It needs to grow up and become at least a goatee, if not a real beard.

5. What do you call it when
you have just the chin part of a goatee? Is this a more fleshed out soul patch, or a 'stache-less goat?

I call it my "Norwegian Bachelor Farmer" look. (yes, Thank you mr. Keillor!)

6. Double ick.
I think it's creepy-looking. This reaction is probably only because I'm old, but I go into a Starbuck's and there's always some young guy with this ratty little clump of hair under his lower lip and a bunch of piercings in his nose and eyebrows, and it's so gross-looking I can hardly even make eye contact. Eww.

7. Why do you think I farted in Koolzip's apartment?
I was trying to be nice and draw attention away from his ludicrous facial coif.

10. Well, that's understandable.
The farting, I mean. It was for an obvious good cause. I think soul patches look silly.
