Red pepper flakes, paprika, and some stir-fry sauce (I use the thick n goopy Kikkoman stuff).

24. Definitely trailer-trash-style food, but I totally dig it....
What all did you add to it? Creativity is supposed to be the rule, not the exception, with this kind of fare...

5. I haven't had mac and cheese in a long time
When we first married, we had it 2-3 times per week. I got bored with it. For the same reason, we don't buy frozen pizza either.

But the truth is I don't eat much mac & cheese any more. There are much better things to be made.

14. Hot dogs? Whatever is the world coming to?
Properly made, mac and cheese is the food of the gods. Any addition is blasphemy. (Of course, if you are referring to the Kraft stuff, all bets are off.)

19. I add mustard powder to the cheese sauce (I make the sauce myself)
and then add some sauteed red onions, and then thinly sliced strips of bacon with all of the fat rendered off. It's heavenly, and much better than that stuff in the blue box.

22. Ground beef.....
.... with gravy - brown, onion, mushroom, all good - brown the beef with plenty of montreal seasoning, fresh ground pepper, blackened seasonings, etc.

YUM! Perfect hangover food!

Also, stirfry sauce instead of gravy is great.

25. I've also added pepperoni
ham, many kinds of sausage, etc. If you're too lazy to make your own cheese use "tostito's con queso dip" it's fabulous

26. OMG my family puts everything into mac and cheese!
My family (we happen to be Asian) adds all sorts of stuff to Macaroni and cheese. Soy sauce, sausage, chicken, tuna, salmon, pickled vegetables, you name it, we've put it in there. Its soooo goood!

I love putting grilled or marinated chicken or salmon with a dash of soy sauce in it. So simple but yet soo good! :bounce:
