10. After some weirdness last night with a tombstoned newbie

...who may or may not have been a previously tombstoned regular, I got curious and wandered over. Now I feel all icky and childish. Is it all "your team" and "my team" and "you smell funny" and "he's fat!"? We do the same thing sometimes.

I drove through Austin on Thursday night AND this morning! I was on my way to San Antonio for a conference and then I came back today. Thought about you both times I was in Austin!

Being an only child, she's very good with adults. Even sounds like one, which is scary sometimes. NOT a typical kid. Doesn't need Chuck E. Cheese or anything. We trained her to do well almost anywhere. (That sounds weird, like she's a dog or something. But you know what I mean.)


I'm going down to help my best friend and her husband get their house ready. They are expecting twins in May (first kids ever, they tried for 10 years to have kids!). She can't help him much and they don't have any family in Austin, so I am going to help him paint and put up shelves. They only have a 900 square foot house and with twins on the way, they need all the help they can get.

Hey they live off of 38 1/2 St. KNow the area? I'd love for you to meet them, they HATE BUSH.

Yeah, they live right off that exit, just to the east of 35. They bought the house in 97, when they got it for $87K. Can you freaking believe that?

Now they could sell it for like $250K except for the fact that no one's buying!

In fact, I was just talking to some parents on the phone. And during my out of town trip this weekend, I talked to a woman who works on the university level on ethics in the classroom. I told her ALL about it, the whole situation and she was absolutely appalled.

We've all been emailing back and forth. The big meeting with the principal is 9 am tomorrow. I'll keep you updated, if you'd like.
