My sis-in-law has Siberian Huskie pups up for adoption- any takers?
She has five Siberian Huskie pups available for adoption; 3 male and 2 female. If anybody is interested, and you live within reasonable distance from the Columbus, Ohio area (or not, she will arrange to ship them for you), please PM me and I will give you the details.
Thanks! :hi:

Here are some pics of the little tykes. They're about 9 weeks old now:

1. Awwwwww!!
I want one of those! Wish we could. Good luck to your sister and the pups - I can't imagine you will have any trouble finding those cute pups good homes!

2. Thank you!
We may have a taker for one. I wouldn't normally shill on DU for such a thing, but my SIL was one step away from selling them to Petco (who made her a terrible offer) until my wife and I told her not to.

in that area. If I hear anything, I will get right back to you.
BTW, they are adorable. And I think you did a wonderful thing talking your SIL out of the PETCO route.

PS. Perhaps you should post on the Pet Forum.

7. Might help if you noted the breed characteristics
Are they hyper? Mellow? People- or territory-oriented? Need lots of exercise (I'd think so, myself.) Smart, stubborn, what?

(I say this as somebody who really can't take on another dog, so it's not for me, just might help fence sitters decide. It's really important that a new dog match an owner's expectations/needs/wants.)

9. I figured those interested would already know, but good idea.

They are smart, friendly, and people-oriented. And yes, they do need lots of exercise, since they're bred primarily as sled dogs. Size is important, too, they can grow over 100 pounds.

10. Google turned up this
http://www.dogbreedinfo.com/siberianhusky.htm

and this

http://www.yourpurebredpuppy.com/reviews/siberianhuskies.html

Actually it turned up a lot more, but these were two of the best, I think.

12. I wish I lived close. We have a Siberian Husky - he thinks he is a
pussy cat. THEY are the MOST WONDERFUL pets for families with children that YOU WILL EVER find in your entire life.

Oh my yess....if you have children. Our husky is 10 years old, and quite large. But usually they stay around 60 or 65 lbs.... ours may have some malamute in him cuz he weighs 110 lbs...but OH MY what an animal.

Everyone in our family WANTS him.....

Good luck, you should have NO trouble finding homes.

13. Actually, it is Alaskian Malamutes that my sister has for adoption
not huskies. Sorry for the misinfo. But Mr B is right, we usually wouldn't pander online, but, my sister is really upset at the thought of not finding good homes for them. She has been real quiet the last few weeks on the phone and she finally talked to me about her trouble finding good homes for them. I really want to help her out.

14. I also posted this on the Pet Forum
If she is not looking to sell them, but just to find homes for them, I would suggest she contact a breed rescue.
