His 'job' was to entertain... he had no responsibility to educate the sheeple of this nation.

6. Things were so different back then
There was not this division we experience now. You didn't look at a celebrity for being blue or red. He was part of the fabric for a lot of us growing up, and we remember him.

I loved his show. It was comforting knowing it was on. Not that I watched it all the time. But I loved knowing it was there if I couldn't sleep.
