Doesn't Smirk and Laura remind you of an Amway couple?

I once got tricked by my fundamentalist Christian brother into going to an Amway convention in Phoenix. Talk about WEIRD!!!! Before it all started some guy in the crowd gets up and yells "Fire it Up! Fire it Up! Then they started knocking a huge ball around the school auditorium.

Laura and George remind me exactly of the people I saw at that Amway convention. Actually almost anyone from the Religious right has that Amway, shallow, glazed over look in their eyes appearance. I can just see Smirk Standing up in the crowd yelling "Fire it Up!, Fire it Up!" As Laura sits idly buy clapping and smiling at her husband who she is so proud of. Then Billy Sue and her white-bread husband Joe who just made Diamond would get up on stage with tears running down their cheeks and their voices cracking to talk about how hard their life has been and if it had not been for their up line, George and Laura and their savior Jesus Christ they never would have made it through. Then George would get up and give an adolescent speech about his up-line and how much he admires their thirst for material things and what his Amway friends mean to Laura and him laughing at inappropriate times, asking people if they need some wood and making a fool out of himself but the shallow, uncultured unwitting crowd would eat it up! Everyone would laugh and clap and smile then they would all go out and meet at Village Inn for late night Pancakes and try to get more people involved in their Jesus loving, flag wrapping, invasion of the body snatching cult of shallow David Koresh/Stepford Wife freaks. Sound familiar? You know, the type of people who fought to keep things like segregation and slavery legal back in the good old days when everyone was God fearing and women could not vote. If we could only go back to those days before we had Social Security and Welfare then things would be great again.

Fire it up! Fire it up! Screamed George. Fire it up! And to think we have Amway cult people running our country into the ground. Well, I guess their is a bright side! If we all work hard and submit our souls to the body snatchers we can make diamond too and never have to worry about money or alarm clocks again!

They are the poster couple for that kind of crapola. The words and behavior are indentical. All you have to change is what you set up for the ultimate goal..DIAMOND STATUS, or WORLD DOMINATION.
