1. Dawn Of The Dead kind of disappointed me.
I voted for 28 Days Later. Maybe it's cause there was more psychological horror. That's the kind of horror that really gets to me.

13. Daddy would have gotten us Uzis!
Or how about:

You wouldn't believe what we want from you. In your worst nightmare you wouldn't believe.

You shouldn't cross on a red light.

The burden of civilization is among us.

Thank god for IMDB!

7. the ORIGINAL NOTLD of course...followed by the remake of Dawn
although I have to say I did like 28 Days Later, even if the director/producer is denying it's a zombie movie ("rage").

Day of the Dead was hokey but VERY gory, and I did like Bub's storyline, Dawn of the Dead the original was hokey as well but memorable, but I enjoyed the remake far more.

Shaun of the Dead was HILARIOUS!!!! Zombie/horror movie fans should definitely check this out!!! :)

Night of the Comet...OMG i haven't seen that in years...good movie too. I think I saw it in 5th grade and wrote a short story in 6th grade based on it LOL.

Virus with Jamie Lee Curtis was a joke. I haven't seen Outbreak.

Evil Dead was considered a zombie flick but I didn't care too much for the series. Lucio Fulci's Zombi was horrific in my opinion (I just am not too big a fan of Italian horror or Japanese horror). I refuse to rent the farce that is House of the Dead, I've heard TOO many bad things on it.

Night of the Living Dead (the original! Haven't seen the remake) has this gritty, "real" feeling to it. The atmosphere and essence of this movie was captured so well I felt I was right there along with everyone else. George Romero is a genius and I'm looking forward to the 4th installment in the dead series, coming out in May, Land of the Dead. If you are a George Romero/zombie flick fan, you probably already know this, but Carnival of Souls (1962 version) was the inspiration for Night Of the Living Dead (1968). It's about a sole survivor of a car crash who is trapped between the lands of the living and the lands of the dead. It's VERY good and I would recommend it to ANY NOTLD or Romero/zombie fan. There are zombies in the movie but it's so eerie and disturbing you have to see it for yourself.

Sorry I went long on this...I am a HUGE horror movie fan, especially the zombie genre. Whatever happened to the tribute thread to Khephra asking for a Horror DU Group?? I would love to be a part of it. :)

8. Andromeda Strain was trippy.
A lethal mutant virus from space poised to spread its way across the world.

Cool looking movie too, from the 70s I think.

I like all these movies.

Watched 28 Days many times. Thought it sucked the first time. That's a really cool movie.

As were the NOTLD movies.

Like 'em all.

Voted for 28 Days Later.

The Crazies.

My hometown. My grandparents are buried in the cemetery that opens the original NOLD.
