Superbowl replays election (Pats = Dems, Iggles = Repub)!!! (It's true!)
Sorry to break the hearts of all the Eagles fans here, but your owner, Jeffery Lurie, is a major Repuke contributer. Sadly, it seems he once was a Dem, then he turned to the dark side.... http://www.newsmeat.com/sports_political_donations/Jeffrey_Lurie.php

While on the other hand, the Patriots owner, Robert Kraft, is a proud Dem supporter. http://www.newsmeat.com/sports_political_donations/Robert_Kraft.php

If this proves nothing else, the Patriots are the Democrats team this year. And unlike the election, the Dems are going to role the Pukes in the Superbowl!!!

1. Kraft is a Democrat????
That's news to me. I thought he was a Pube asshole because he makes so much money. Guess I'll have to revise my opinion a bit.

4. Here is Kraft's donation history

Mostly Dem contributions, and some general R funds.

6. Sorry, I was just pointing out a similarity.
It wasn't to be taken too seriously.

I know how you feel, but this one was too good to pass up. Though, it seems that Kraft is trending towards a Republican.

I usually try to keep the sports posts clean of politics, unless it involves bashing the Yankees, then anything is fair game.

11. This could be their year, Orioles just picked up Steve Reed.
Edited on Sun Jan-23-05 11:24 PM by sleipnir
He's a damn good hurler, quite under-rated for being in the league for at least a decade. They might be putting together a team.

Still smarting about that whole incident involving the Washington team, and how the Orioles were worried about losing the monopoly on the market share. Funny how having 5 teams within 250 miles doesn't affect New England/NY/NJ/PA area.

14. Seems Baltimore wants to get their pitching up from the farms.
Yeah, they haven't signed any good starters this year, but the season is only starting to warm up, so we'll see.

Reed could become their top reliever if he stays healthy.

5. However.........
........Donovan McNabb winning a SB would shut the drug addict Limbaugh up and Tom Brady still has no good explanation for being at that State of the Union speech (I assume he ain't that bright and didn't realize the political implications of it).
