2. Those Girl Scout Mint cookies (preferably chilled)...mmmmm |
|
For those who can't wait once a year to buy the Girl Scout cookies, Starbucks sells a chocolate mint cookie that tastes just like the Girl Scout cookie, but slightly larger.
Okay, gotta go to grab some goodies right now!

You know the ones made with cocoa, milk, butter, sugar, peanut butter, oats, vanilla . . . .
Then you drop them on wax paper and let them cool.

7. if you want a nice break from chocolate chip, do the recipe until |
|
you get to the flour. Add only one cup and then two or three cups of oatmeal. You have a nice cookie with cracklin's that is flat and chewy.

10. I'd go for soft chocolate chip but... |
|
very few of them are really good. You have to make them yourself or know someone who knows how to make them.
I started adding oatmeal, raisins, nuts and other stuff to my chocolate chip cookies. If you want to get wierd, you can make them into meringues instead of simple drop cookies.
But, I suppose my real favorites are almond/chocolate pinwheels-- a pain to make, but not nearly as finicky as the meringues. Or, roll out the almond and chocolate dough and make black&white sandwich cookies with raspberry in the middle.

My wife makes the BEST! Soft and chewy, just the right amount of butter...YUMMY! She was going to make a batch during the storm, but found out that we were out of raisins, she asked if I wanted plain oatmeal...nope, gotta be the full monte.
