Junior has another uniform ("Air Force One" Members Only blue jacket)

Courtesy of Digby's blog, "Hullabaloo."

http://digbysblog.blogspot.com/

Digby's comments:

"I'm given to understand that Junior wears these silly costumes as a courtesy because they are the uniforms of individual military units and they inscribe them with "Commander In Chief" and the presidential seal and all kinds of filligreed decorations over which he has absolutely no control (being only the commander in chief and all.) It's kind of like that "Mission Accomplished" sign. The troops just get overzealous and embarrass the president over and over again with their devotion.

So, does the flight crew of Air Force One also have a special uniform that somebody in the crew (maybe the flight attendant?) designed especially for the president?

Or is it possible that Karen Hughes sewed this one up her very own self? I'd be curious to know."

2. Gifts and mementos....
....are TOTALLY VETTED well BEFORE any visit by any dignitary. The amount of back-and-forth communication in advance of these visits is extreme. Everything, down to "personal time" (piss breaks) is scheduled to the minute, who gives what to whom, how mementos are exchanged, all of this is written down and there are no surprises.

If the bozo didn't want the costumes, his military protocol officer would let the unit/command/ship know. And if you think they have those Presidential seals just laying around, that just ain't what happens. The WH sends it along to be sewn on.

He is not just stupid, he's scary-stupid. No responsible adult should get that much joy from dress-up costumes. Pathetic!

5. Only dictators wear military uniforms
shrub is the first U.S. president EVER to wear a military uniform while serving as president. Many other presidents were veterans - many saw action, unlike shrub - but they didn't wear military uniforms as president.

Not even George Washington. shrub is a creep.

9. the story goes
he heard that the more scrambled eggs on a uniform the more important you are....so he had cook bring him plenty which he proceeded to place strategically about his costume...piling them up on his shoulders and strutting before sympathetic wh photographers...but the pepper in the eggs made him sneeze and the whole thing blew up in his face and as is always the case, he ended up just a spoiled little bully with egg on his face....
