Second Job Ideas (I need 'em)
I desperately need an evening/weekend job to supplement my income. I'd rather not go the fast food/minimum wage route. Anyone have any other ideas? I do admin work during the day.

Democrats know everything!

1. Become a chocolatier on the web.
Your house would smell terrific and chocolate freaks will pay big bucks for their next hit.

2. Consider going to school instead to earn another degree
You think you can't afford it, but there are loans available, and loan-repayment programs if you go into some fields.

Spend your extra time getting another degree, that ultimately would land you a better-paying job in a more secure field. A possibility?

3. try a hotel for banquet servers
it's foodservice, but its much easier than actual waiting of tables, and usually pays pretty good. I did it through college and after, it paid about 10-12 an hour. weekends are in demand.

4. I'm P/T at a Barnes & Noble
Pay is not great to begin with if you have no retail experience (like me.) But it's improved to reasonable after a couple of good reviews.

But you get a VERY healthy discount on books and CDs. And, if you need it they offer health coverage for part-timers (and 401-K).

Plus they contribute heavily to the Dems.

7. Tend bar.
I know people who make their entire living tending bar two or three nights a week. If you can swing a Friday or Saturday night gig in even a modestly popular spot, you could conceivably do $200 a night or better in tips alone.
