Congratulations, Patriots and Eagles fans... |
|
This heartbroken Steelers fan offers both camps congratulations on their teams' conference championships.
It was obvious from both championship games that the best teams from each conference ended up getting to Jacksonville.

3. Big Ben will be a force in the league for the next 10 years |

Sports history will mark this time as an incredible age of quarterbacks: Peyton Manning, Donovan McNabb, Michael Vick, Daunte Culpepper (maybe), Tomn Brady and Benny R.
Buck up. You'll be back next year, better than you were this year.

I see Eli in the running for the next ten years, I see Ben as the next coming (and going) of Clint Longley. Eli's experience this year was much more valuable to him then Ben's was. He may have a fine sophomore season but that will be aided by the awesome AFC rust belt division which includes those cats and those colors and those corporate logos, oh my.

It'll be interesting this offseason to see who we have next year. Plaxico and Bettis will probably be gone.
Big Ben, Heinz Ward, Deuce will be the keys to the offense. If Big Ben can learn enough over the offseason and come back strong we'll be in good shape. The one thing about Roethilisberger is that he does seem to learn from his mistakes. He rarely makes the same mistake twice. I also think that he has been playing more injured than they let on the past 4-5 weeks. They may not have admitted anything so that he didn't become more of a target, but his accuracy dropped pretty dramatically in the last month, and then with the additional playoff pressure....well you can't make mistakes against the Patriots.
Why do I get the feeling though that the Steelers are to the 70's Oakland teams as the Patriots are to the 70's Steeler teams?

And even though I think they are lining up to be a hot lunch for the Patriots. . .
GO EAGLES!
Can't help it, I've been rooting for them since 1967
