Don't even try to push the envelope. DU is just not the place for liberals to flirt or discuss topics related to sex. There are lots of other places like that, DU just ain't one of them.
I wish it was, but it isn't.

People made a sport of how graphic and personal they could get, then went and complained in ATA about their posts getting deleted, even though they knew full well they were fucking with the rules. While pushing against the limits of rules is healthy, being an intellectually dishonest cry-ass when you get popped for it is NOT. That supremely annoying element here seriously needed a stifling, and I'm glad it got one.

You're exactly right. And maybe the "ok, the fun's over" post should stay in the Lounge...permanently. Just as a reminder to some people.

Some people really, really pushed it, for their own weird gratification.

There are other places for DUers to do that sort of thing. If you ask around, perhaps someone will give you an invite there.

What started as innocent flirtation theads soon degenerated, thanks to a few who always had to push the envelope under the guise of 'cleverness'...

*some* people got puerile and disgusting on them, when they have that 'other place' they always 'slyly' :eyes: refer to to do just that, privately, liberally and unleashed, I might add.

21. Too bad some folks feel that way about something as natural and normal |
|
As sexual feelings.
At least in the "other place" we can express our feelings without being looked down on.

It could just be that someone's leash got a little too tight and choked off those normal, natural feelings....ya think?
