I'm happy the for the Pats, they played better and deserve to go to the big dance. However, I believe the Steelers captured the imagination of football fans this season by finally shaking the Brister-Stewart pall of perpetual defeat. If they can keep all of their personnel, they are a dynasty in the making. We'll finally get "one for the thumb".

Roethlisberger is only going to get better. His rookie side showed through on Sunday. Once he learns more presence in the pocket, he will be truly dangerous. I think he did great. I'm also happy they contained Dillon as good as they did (73 yrds). Its too bad that our pass defense was so abysmally porous.

I agree that Ben will be awesome. He is just 22 years old....in the AFC championship game, you have to play perfect football.

We were just "off our game" for some reason. Maybe too many emotions riding high. I don't know.

returning to the Steelers next year. And Jerome Bettis is considering retirement, which is part of the reason why Hines is so upset - he wanted to win the big one for The Bus!

I thought they were going after him hard, especially after TO whined his way out of the deal earlier. I'm very interested to see how Rothlesberger develops. Even without Burress and Bettis, they should still have a decent foundation.

It was sad seeing a class act like Bettis get so close but go home empty handed again. I don't think he's the type of guy who would jump ship just to win a ring (Malone, Richmond, Payton, etc). The Steelers were very impressive this year, and just had the misfortune to peak during the same time that a rival has been unbeatable in the playoffs.
