I thought she was excellent in Boys don't Cry and A price above Rubies, i think she's one of the best actresses out there.

1. I love her, but I kinda hope she doesn't |
|
She's won already. I always like it better when a newbie wins-unless I hate their guts, of course. ;-)

2. Why on Earth wasn't Uma Thurman nominated |
|
for Kill Bill vol. 2? I think that's one of the best performances I've ever seen.

for Best Supporting for the same film.
I thought he was quite excellent in Vol. 2.

3. I thought "Million Dollar Baby" was outstanding,... |
|
...but this year the Academy Award process is irritating me because of that whole "rematch" thing the press is whipping up with her and Annette Benning. I try to ignore that "Best in Show" mentality and just try to enjoy the process but it's going to be difficult this because of that.

It's all so trivial, so why not. I hope Annette or Kate Winslett wins. They are both way overdue. Hilary won already-and on her first nomination to boot.

she deserves it most, IMHO. But don't hold your breath waiting for the Academy to reward someone playing an abortionist. Silly, I know, but so are the Oscars. First nomination doesn't help either.
