My closet is full of black clothes. I always wear more black in winter, but maybe my closet needs a color infusion!

I love black, I even dyed my hair black to match my clothes. Hey, just go wild and buy a few fun scarves. I got a beautiful scarf for Christmas that I haven't worn.

Love dark colors. And, Sniffa, orange only looks good in very dark-skinned people or the lily white. It makes brown and olive skinned folk look jaundiced.

11. I like black clothes - they go with everything!
I have the black basics - dress, skirt, pants, two or three black sweaters, black casual shoes, black boots, and black dress shoes.

I do have lots of colors, though, especially reds, pinks, and blues. And various shades of brown from dark to light.

13. black
like my heart.

Actually the only problem I have with all the black clothes and shoes is that my closet does not have sufficient lighting. This makes it difficult to distinguise "blue black, brown black etc etc.
And I lose stuff all the time due to falling off hangers onto floor.

26. why would one have to "grow out of it?"
why is that the one color you have to grow out of and not the others? I don't buy into that shit. It's my favorite color.

27. no, I like black and look good in it-
it's more the "dressing like college" thing ( well not exactly, that was stuff from the thrift store - which I still like at times) than "the growing out of black clothes" thing.

35. Used to have a lot of black...
was a corporate atty in NYC and black seemed to be the thing because you couldn't tell if you'd worn it three days in a row b/c the asshat partner you were working for wouldn't let you go home to change or shower or whatever, and it fit my mood b/c I hated my job.

Now, I've started replacing black with white as a good "neutral" and have been purchasing more colors. Don't like all black anymore, though I still have a few black sweaters I like, as well as black accents like bags and belts.

36. I used to have nothing but black
but not so much now. I think I have one pair of black pants and maybe 2 or 3 black tops

(Of course, the fact that I have shrunk out of most of my clothes and have so few that fit me these days might have something to do w/ my lack of black clothes.)

38. I always be sure to buy a variety of colors
The past two years when I asked for clothes for Christmas by circling things in the JC Penny's catalog, my mother-in-law asked why I didn't designate colors, I told her that I wanted everything to be different colors. I try to buy different colored things if I do go clothes shopping too.
I am not tied to one color or look. In fact, I often feel like different colors on different days so it is good to have variety.
When there is a sale at your favorite store, go out and buy several items that are all different colors. Then you can wear the colors you feel.

44. My black clothes don't go in the dryer--they air dry to keep their color.
If you've never tried this, you'll be amazed at how air drying will preserve the color on black clothes (and on any clothes that are intensely colored, for that matter).

I make up for it in the summer. There are also days like today, when I wear a brightly colored summertime shirt under a gray pullover. It's JUST enough color to get by.
