1. Hell yes, Mick is hot.
I'm still deciding whether "Brown Sugar" is racist, but damn is Mick FINE. Even today. Sexy as hell.

3. But they have so many black friends....
I'm sure black people would shun them, shun I say, if they sang a racist song. Perhaps they're sorry? I don't think they're racists.

So many questions.

4. It's a racist song, but Mick is not taking sides.
There is no inferrence that the attitude of the main character is correct, or morally right.

7. But it is understood that he is the main character.
When a singer uses "I", isn't it understood that he/she is the narrator?

Have they ever commented on it? Maybe I'll google that...

13. No, there's a distance in the song.
As for Jagger's use of 'I', I'm pretty sure he isn't actually Jumping Jack Flash. :D

9. Yeah yeah yeah,
The old "don't get me wrong, some of my best friends are ________" defense.

Don't even get me started on "Some Girls."

;)

11. I didn't even READ that until right now!

Well, well, well.
Mr. Jagger apparently had some problems with the black ladies he met, in that they were nymphomaniacs, which led him to somehow project that onto all black women...hmm.

I just don't get that, and I don't get why no one ever asked them about it.

He's still pretty damn hot. :(

15. aren't they both smart?
I think Mick has an economics degree.

Anyhow I voted for Keith. I admire a man who can not be killed by conventional weapons.

16. Jagger dropped out of the LSE.
But yeah, he's no intellectual slouch either. Charlie's pretty sharp, too.

12. Well, Keith wrote alot of great guitar riffs
Mick made them famous by acting like a bad boy.

The Stones are nothing without Keith, but Mick didn't contribute anything besides image.
