The name of a Party is the same as the name of it's members. If individuals within the Party called themselves "Democratics" it would be correct to call it the "Democratic" Party. Please note this same rule applies to Libertarians, Greens, Communists, Progressives, and Socialists.

The name of a party is the name that is chosen. The name is the Democratic Party, its members are Democrats.

By your logic, then, people who live in China are "Chinas" and people in Canada are "Canadas."

those are names of countries, not parties. A country is a geographical entity, a party is a group. If you were to say, the "Canadian Nation" it would be correct, since the word "nation," identifies the group. Hence there might be a Democratic State, but it is a Democrat Party that makes it so.
