Anyone heard the newest Beck album? |
|
titled 'Guero' a supposedly un-mastered copy leaked onto the net. It's fucking great. Can't wait to pick this one up (and I have almost everything from Beck, so I'll definitely be buying this).
Anyone else heard it/got any comments on it?

4. It's like a mix of Odelay and Midnite Vultures... |

It's got the sampling genius and hip-hoppish beats of Odelay with some of the liquid funk from Midnite Vultures.
There's also a slight Beatles influence in there, you can hear it in some places....the strings, some of the arrangements, chord structures...
Great album. Quite different from Sea Changes.
My favorite track at the moment is "Earthquake Weather (maybe)" which has the sweetest hook I've heard in a long time.
