Is paypal still a secure method of purchasing?

I seem to recall in the past a wave of paypal security problems.
Should I seek another method?

1. i'd be more concerned with the seller than paypal

unless this is a simple ebay transaction, beware of online shops that only accept paypal

this is for one of the I DID NOT VOTE 4 BUSH wristbands directly from their site.

I would asume that all is well in this situation, I was just more concerned with the overall security of the paypal system itself.

Just be aware of the false paypal e-mails going around. If you get one that says it's from paypal, but it doesn't address you by your first & last names, then it's a fraud. Same goes for Ebay.

3. I have used them for almost a year

and have not had problems.

7. I've used PayPal since it came into being, for all types of things

and have never had any probelm. Even had some returns properly handled.

....about $1000 per week for various transactions and have never had a problem.
