I have read all of your wonderful messages on Will's post and just wanted to say thank you for your kindness to both him and me. My mother was 90. She was the oldest of three and the daughter of a horse and buggy doctor. She was a fabulous athlete and an accomplished fisherwoman as Will so beautifully described in his post. She had an acute sense of people and could spot a phoney a mile away. She and my father had an almost storybook marriage and these last four years without him had been very lonely for her.

She had recently been diagnosed with breast cancer and last week began cancer medication. Quite naturally, you begin to think about death when a loved one is stricken like that, and I had. But it wasn't the cancer that took her and no matter how "prepared" I was, it just is not easy to let go of someone so central in your life. Today I am thankful that I had her in my life for as long as I did.

I don't know how I spend so much time on this site and still miss so much. I had not heard that your mother died until just now. I am still sending good, warm and kind thoughts to all of you. I am so sorry. :hug:
