Mozilla Thunderbird? Anybody know anything?
Thinking about upgrading Mozilla to firefox and I wondered if anyone was familiar with the Thuderbird Mail program. Good, bad, whatever.

6. Thuderbird Mail program
Good, I use it, had to switch after MS Outlook couldn't handle more than 6 or so accounts at once (Outlook kept dropping password of one or another).

Thunderbird is good but a bit wonky: pay attention to server setup, make sure you set it to auto-download message body, otherwise you'll be confused as hell when it informs you of new messages but none appear in inbox. Similarly, setting up passwords is arcane; you have to wait for first attempt to connect to server, and are then prompted for password, pain in the ass.

8. It transfers address books
but I believe you have to set up the POP3 and SMTP settings of your ISP servers once again. I've used it now for almost a year without any problems.
