do you root for bad things
to happen to fictionaL characters on tv (or movies, books, whatever)?

i do it aLL the time. i aLways wish for some outrageous pLot twist where donna martin dies, or Lucy camden Loses the baby or steve urkeL becomes a meth head.

occasionaLLy, when i make a statement Like that, i'LL be admonished by someone saying, "that's horribLe! how couLd you wish that on someone?"

i do it aLL the time... for fictionaL characters.

4. oh i hate him
every monday night, i'm reminded of my wishing bad intentions on the camden famiLy and most of the peopLe on 7th heaven.

i focus most of my rage on Lucy though - i so wanted something bad to happen to her or her baby (hopefuLLy both).

brenda? jeez, donna soooo had it coming. i remember how pissed i was when david saved her from being raped and kiLLed.

on CSI:Miami, a show I hate but watch anyway, I rooted for the blond girl to be the victim when previews hinted that one of them would die. She's so annoying and know-it-all. The whole show is so bad...and yet I watch.

9. I used to write for TV shows,
and you would LOVE the alternate endings and plot devices we used to come up with just to entertain ourselves.

Let me put it this way: on "Miami Vice," Sunny Crockett was very often separated from a serious piece of his anatomy by a crazed:

(1) drug dealer;
(2) prostitute,
(3) poodle,
(4) Ginzu knife salesman,
(5) shark,
(6) Melanie Griffith.

12. When I'm writing, sometimes I MAKE bad things happen to fictional
characters. Sometimes the characters are even good, likable people.

14. Always
In The West Wing when Zoe Bartlett was kidnapped, I was so hoping that she'd be found dead (I knew she wouldn't though).

I take strong likes and dislikes to chracters, and have no moral restrain on wishing ill on those I dislike.

16. Lately I've been doing it for
some real people. I get admonished too. but fuck them. I don't tell them how to think-like "oh how horrible! You WANT people in the cheneybush junta to live for a long time? that's disgusting!"
